Lessons from a Lion

I normally don't like to share the specifics of  my personal life.  2013 has been a tough year.  There were moments of frustration and real honest-to-god despair.  Through it all, though, a strong positive fiber within held things together.  Good things, really good things, have come to be from this year and its circumstances.  Friendships are stronger.   My love for my family is stronger.  I am stronger.   Last week was a nail biter so I channelled my energy away from anxiety and toward creating with the focus on a positive outcome, a little something we call "art voodoo" around here. It's pretty obvious that animals speak to me, so when the lion needed to be painted, it jumped out onto the big canvas in a mere 3 days.  The next day,  I got confirmation that a gallery in CA will hang my animal blocks up all summer.  And I know there's even more good to come.

  1. This is just the MOST amazing painting. What you wrote shows strength and character. And what an honor for you and your animal blocks!!
